WHO WE ARE

Musaliha International Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MICADR) is an alternative dispute resolution center that provides state-of-the-art mediation, arbitration, and negotiation services for individuals and entities. Derived from the word “musaalihat” in urdu, which means reproaching or conciliation, and “maslaha” in Arabic which is a concept that defines the basis of law in accordance with the principles of Islamic jurisdiction. MICADR operates under the firm belief that alternative means of dispute resolution are highly effective and globally recognized to achieve justice and eradicate conflict while keeping the sanctity of relationships and linkages intact.

Our services

We, at MICADR, offer a wider range of dispute resolution services alternative to litigation for resolving disputes for entities, corporations, and individuals.



Mediation

Mediation is a flexible, non-binding dispute resolution process in which a neutral third party (the mediator) assists two or more disputants to reach a voluntary, negotiated settlement of their differences.



Arbitration

Arbitration is a unique technique for the resolution of disputes outside the courts, where the parties to a dispute refer it to one or more persons – arbitrators, by whose decision they agree to be bound.



Trainings

MICADR offers both nationally and internationally accredited 40-hour mediator training programs to anyone who wants to be a qualified ADR practitioner and learn the art of resolving disputes outside.



Pro Bono ADR

Free legal services & easy access to justice to the underprivileged members of society. It specifically aims to protect the rights of those who may not be in a position to afford an ADR practitioner



Model ADR Clauses

MICADR is providing all relevant stakeholders with model ADR clauses approved and implemented by both National and International ADR Centers that allow parties to opt for mediation



Core Team

Managing Director

Justice Arif Hussain Khilji was elevated as a Judge of the High Court of Sindh in 2001. In 2007, he refused to take oath under the Provisional Constitution Order. In 2009 he was elevated as judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and retired in 2014. He was appointed as ad-hoc judge for the Supreme Court in 2015 for one year. In 2017 he was appointed as the Director General of the Sindh Judicial Academy.
