MICADR CERTIFIED Fundamentals of Negotiation (M-FoN) – 8 hours
Negotiations are an integral part of the corporate landscape. From negotiation sale/purchase agreements, to terms of employment and merger and acquisitions, effective negotiators can win more leverage for their organizations and can also ensure that deals are structured in a manner that result in greater benefits for their respective parties. Traditionally, negotiation practices in the sub-continent revolves primarily around the ‘Positional Negotiation’ style, where two or more parties to a negotiation take positions and try to get the settlement to be as close to their respective positions as possible. As per the Harvard Project on Negotiation, this is an inefficient form of negotiation that typically results in poor (or less than optimal) results for all parties involved.
MICADR’s Fundamentals of Negotiation Program, taught by expert internationally Accredited Mediators, teaches the ‘Principled Negotiation” method where interests are primary and the parties, secondary. An intensive 1-day program, the participants are involved in high-stake negotiation scenarios and each lecture/theory is followed by extensive practice.
A graduate of MICADR’s Fundamentals of Negotiation Program will be able to apply newly learnt negotiation techniques to high-stake negotiations on behalf of their organization and perform better in terms of the final outcome of the negotiation
